Magic s’essaierait-t-il au jeu de plateau ?

La news était passée en catimini mais lorsqu’un de mes potes m’a envoyé le lien, ça a réveillé en moi mes envies de jeux de plateau à base de figurines. C’est peut être l’une de mes déceptions d’ados, je n’avais pas dans mon groupe d’amis de joueurs de Warhammer ou autre. Du coup, acheter des figurines, les peindre et ne pas jouer avec, c’est quand même hyper frustrant. J’avais donc laissé ce loisir de coté.

Mais là c’est Magic The gathering qui vient d’annoncer, sans date précise (mais en faite si, voir la FAQ plus bas), l’arrivée de son jeu de plateau. Prévu pour deux à cinq joueurs, on contrôle un Planeswalker et ses armées sur un champ de bataille où il faudra se frayer un chemin jusqu’au Planeswalker adverse afin de l’éliminer.

Si le jeu semble en phase de test/beta pour le moment, quelques photos ont déjà filtré. On y retrouve le principe des cinq couleurs de mana, des armées à peindre ou non et des cartes qui font irrémédiablement écho aux plus célèbres d’entre elles dans l’univers Magic.

Bref une belle surprise, j’ai hâte d’en savoir plus, pas vous ?

GAMEPLAY
How is the game played?
• In the Magic: The Gathering Strategy Board Game, players customize the battlefield by designing the map then
placing terrain and powerful gylphs. Then players choose one of five different Planeswalkers and move their
figure and unique creature squads around the map in a race to out-maneuver opponents and gain tactical
advantages! Cast devastating spells, summon powerful squads, and tap into your unique Planeswalker abilities
to defeat your opponents. Be the last Planeswalker standing to win!

How many players can play the game?
• 2-5 players.

How long does it take to play through the game?
• Between 25 and 45 minutes, depending on the number of players and their level of expertise.ill the game include any collectible pieces?
• Each game will include the same five highly detailed, fully painted Planeswalker mini-figures.

What are the five Magic Planeswalker characters who will be featured in the board game?
• Chandra Nalaar®, Jace Beleren®, Nissa Revane®, Liliana Vess®. The final character will be revealed at later date.

Does the game include Magic trading card game cards?
